I'm pleased with the depth of colour, the play of light and the way it truly has conjured up the spirit of Casson, a great Canadian Group of Seven artist who painted en plein air. I chose to paint this in a fusion of styles that mixes a little Casson with a little me. It's now what I want it to be! It is painted in the exact spot that Casson did his most famous work almost 90 years later.
