So I'm looking back to a day in August when I ran in the @5peaksrun at Crawford lake. My daughter signed me up for a 6.2 km run. I wasn't expecting it to be as challenging and as dynamic as it was. I ran through incredible Rocky terrain with many dips and along Rocky edges, lakes and forest. I ran with great concentration on where my feet would land, ran it in 40 minutes and finished 5th. The beautiful scenery was a blur. I painted it in a very unique way with no prep, no underdrawing, no canvas wash in a quick way that mimics plein air...
