Partially frozen lakes dot the Canadian landscape in winter months. This scene was painted from a picture taken at Terracotta Conservation Park. Spring had arrived, but winter kept its grip on the surface of the lake. The bare trees reached skyward as if to embrace the warmth of the sun's rays.
